How do I install my SMART ethanol burner?

Installing a SMART ethanol burner is as easy as plugging it in and dropping it into the prepared cavity! Follow the steps below to install your SMART burner and smartphone app.

  1. Plug in the SMART ethanol burner.
  2. Install the burner into the non-combustible surround that you’ve specified for installation.

  3. Use the two handles to lift the burner and fit it into the existing fireplace surround. (*Please make sure to remove the handles before using the SMART ethanol burner.)
  4. Grab your phone and search for “The Bio Flame” in your app store.
  5. After installing the app on your phone, connect to the “The Bio Flame” Wi-Fi network. When prompted, enter the following password: “0123456789” and you’re all set!
    • For ignition, click the ON/OFF button twice
    • For extinguishing, click the ON/OFF button once
    • For modifying flame intensity, use the “+” and “-” buttons accordingly

Where can I install my SMART ethanol fireplace?

You can use the SMART burner in any Bio Flame ethanol fireplace, such as a free-standing fireplace, or wall-mounted fireplace, as ethanol fireplace burner inserts to replace an existing, traditional fireplace, or as aburner insert in a firebox setting. You can even install a SMART burner outside as an alternative to a firepit!

Do Bio Flame SMART burners integrate with my home automation system?

Yes. The Bio Flame burners integrate with most home automation systems such as Crestron, Lutron, KinX, and Control4.

How can I control a SMART burner?

With Bio Flame collection of innovative ethanol SMART burners, you can remotely control your fireplace with the included remote or via our smartphone. You even have the option to voice control your fireplace via Amazon Alexa or Google Home!

Are SMART ethanol burners safe?

Yes! The Bio Flame SMART burners are equipped with cutting-edge safety technology, so you can feel comfortable and confident adding a burner to your space. Some safety features include an emergency extinguishing feature, a child lock, a sleep timer, overheating sensors, external heat sensors, shake sensors, CO² sensors, and more.


Warranty

 

The Bio Flame offers a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase on all operation-related functions of the fireplaces. The warranty does not cover any product damage that occurred during shipping or was caused by improper product handling or installation.

The warranty does not cover chips, scratches, and glass breaks. For items damaged upon arrival, please refer to our Return Policy section for defective or damaged merchandise.

Items that are deemed (un-fixable) will be replaced with the same or similar model.

Warranty will be applied on presentation of a dated receipt and is strictly limited to factory service repair of the piece or pieces that are found to be defective.

Installation costs will not be reimbursed as damages for any reason whatsoever.

The manufacturer will not be held responsible for any incidental or consequential defects, on goods or individuals.

The warranty will not be applied if devices have been subjected to abnormal use or if used under other conditions than the intended ones.

The warranty will not apply in case of deterioration or accident due to negligence, or damages caused by failing to maintain and service the device or resulting from an alteration of material.

Return Policy

RETURN INSTRUCTIONS

It’s important to us that you are happy with your purchase. If for some reason you are not satisfied with the product received, we’re here to assist.

Prior to requesting a return, please review the guidelines of our return policy below.

RETURN REQUIREMENTS

1. All items must have been purchased directly from our company via the website or direct order.

2. Returns for new products must be requested within 30 days of delivery. The product must be in new, unused condition with no signs of damage.

3. All products must be returned in the original packaging.

4. Defective and damaged merchandise must be reported within 7 days of delivery to qualify for a refund.

5. Custom items are not eligible for return or exchange.

RETURN SHIPPING

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. The customer must return the product to the correct warehouse, in new condition, and in the original packaging.

We strongly suggest that you obtain a tracking number for the returning item(s) and purchase shipping insurance. Smart Nature is not responsible for returns lost in transit or for items damaged during return shipping.

Please contact support@smartnaturestore.com to request an RMA (Return merchandise authorization) and send us your return tracking information.

REFUNDS

Please allow 7-14 business days after delivery of the returned item, for our warehouse to inspect the products, approve the return and process your refund to the original form of payment. The credit should be visible on your credit card statement within 3-7 business days after the refund is processed.

The following items will not qualify for a refund: Products without RMA (Return merchandise authorization) including refusing the delivery, returns after 30 days of delivery, and products in unacceptable or used condition. In any of these cases, we reserve the right to deny your return. Upon receipt, the returned product can be refused and shipped back to the customer, at the customer’s expense.

CANCELLATIONS

The customer can request to cancel an order for a full refund, up to 48 hours prior to shipping. After tracking is generated the order can no longer be canceled.

If you miss the cancelation period for your order, you can contact us to assist with a return at your expense (see our Return Policy).

DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED MERCHANDISE

Please thoroughly inspect your products immediately upon delivery. Maintain the original packaging until you have determined that the product is satisfactory. In the rare occurrence that a product arrives damaged, with missing parts, or the incorrect item was sent, please contact our Customer Success Team immediately at support@smartnaturestore.com

You must contact us within seven days from the date of delivery to report damaged or defective merchandise. After the seven-day period, the product cannot be reported as damaged and/or returned for exchange or refund, with no exceptions.

For all products reported as defective or damaged, we will request the following photos in good resolution:

a. Photo of the damaged area of the product.

b. Photo of the overall product with the damaged area visible

c. Photo of the product packaging.

d. Photo of the damaged portion of the packaging carton.

Damaged items will be retained in our warehouse for a maximum of 30 business days unless otherwise requested by the customer in writing prior to disposal. After 30 business days, the item will be disposed of or donated.
